Nevertheless, backgammon sets are rarely used in the field of smuggling, and in some cases backgammon cases suspected as bombs.

A Turkish-Canadian bodybuilding champion and transportation engineer was caught at the Halifax Stanfield International Airport last February with over 26,000 pills for various purposes inside a wooden backgammon suitcase and vitamin bottles.
