Legendary Backgammon Club Returns for a TV Poker Show
The legendary New York City Mayfair Club, shut by the authorities in 2000, returns for a special high stake game in the TV show "Poker after Dark". Originally a backgammon club, the Mayfair Club was famous, or rather infamous, for hosting wild poker nights and breeding a new generation of avid poker pros since the late 80s.

In addition to playing the $120,000 televised poker game, the participants in NBC's special resurrection broadcast of Mayfair Club will be reminiscing from the golden days of the mythological gaming establishment, discussing the relations between backgammon and poker, gossiping about the late great Stu Unger, and sharing their general worldviews with the viewers and one another.
