Trial Murder during a Backgammon Game
A 54 years old nightclub owner of Ayia Napa, Cyprus, was shot while playing backgammon with his employee. The trial murder victim suffered major injury and is still hospitalized, though his condition remains stably out of risk. The Cyprus Police is still in search for the attacker.
A year after a drama shook the peaceful, voluptuary lives in Nissi Avenue at Ayia Napa with the murder of a local cabaret owner, a second case of an attempted murder takes place in the street. The drama involves an unknown assassin, stolen bike, two men who have been hit men during a backgammon game in the middle of the night.
Andreas Charalambous, who owns a nightclub in the popular avenue famous for its nightlife, was shot and hurt severely as he was playing backgammon in a nearby restaurant. 38 years old Koulis Hajisavvas, his opponent at the backgammon game and employee was injured lightly, and a third spectator was not hurt at all.
The Cyprus Police was busy collecting evidence from eye witnesses and from relatives of the attack victim, yet the direction of the investigation remains unclear. Apparently, the attacker escaped the scene of the crime right after the shooting on a stolen scooter driven by a second man.
