The multi player backgammon game on Microsoft's latest operation system, Windows 7, offers a new way to cope with droppers, a common source of frustration among online backgammon players who compete against humans. The term "dropper" refers to players who drop out of the game before it is officially over, especially when their winning chances decrease, so a loss will not affect their statistics or rating points.
While in the previous Windows versions once a player's opponent dropped out of the game, the game was automatically stopped, in Windows 7, the player will have the option to continue playing the current game against the computer. In addition, Windows 7 internet games will include features such as customized backgrounds and game pieces (or cards), 3 levels of skills and statistics traffic tools available for both the client based games and internet games.

Microsoft has revealed (as implied, not exactly from their own free will) the new internet games planned to be included in the upcoming Windows 7: updated versions of the multi player games appeared in the previous version of the operating system: Internet Backgammon, Internet Spades and Internet Checkers. The three renovated and redesigned games will join Windows' classics such as FreeCell, Hearts, Minesweeper, Solitaire, Spider Solitaire and more.
